Welcome to 6th grade! I am so happy to meet all of you and to be your teacher! We have an exciting year ahead of us. In Social Studies we will be studying Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. If you could travel to any of the countries on these continents which would you choose? Why?

ReplyDeleteI would like to go to England because there are so many things there. One thing I want to see there is Big Ben because I want to see it in person and learn some facts about it. And one other thing in England I want to see is one of the biggest ferris wheels in the World.
ReplyDeleteIf I could travel to any country on these continents, I would chose England. I decided upon this country, because my favorite band called One Direction is from there. It would also be interesting to see how different the climate is from ours, the distinct styles and trends, and to meet people with an unalike culture.

ReplyDeleteIf i could go to any of those countries I would go to Italy because most of my family lives there and i would love to visit them.Also because of all of the amazing sites there like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and The Roman Coliseum.I would also want to go Japan because i love anime and i think that is very cool. I would also like to see all the stuff and fun things that you can do in Japan.
ReplyDeleteI would like to visit Ireland in the continent Europe because i would like to meet my family. My dad grew up there and moved to Pennsylvania and his cousins,aunts and uncles stayed there, so I would like to visit them.

I would like to visit France and see the Eiffle Tower because it would be an amazing site to see. I would also like to visit a park called Asterix because it is inspired by a french comic book. Tonnerre de Zeus lifts you up to the peak of Mount Olympus.This roller coaster is the largest wooden roller coaster in Europe.This is one of many roller coasters at this park. Hopefully next year I can actually ride this roller coster.
ReplyDeleteI would like to visit the country of England because I would like to learn about the British history and landmarks. I would like to see what there economy is like if you would live in England. I also would like to find out what the climate and weather is like in England.
ReplyDeleteIf I could visit two countries on the continent of Africa I would choose Egypt and Kenya. I would like to visit Egypt because it would be very interesting to learn about pyramids and how they were built by Egyptians. Another reason I would go to Egypt would be to see the sphinx, half man half lion. I would like to learn about pharos and how they ruled the land. I would also like to learn about mummification. The last thing I would like to learn about is gold sarcophaguses and how mummies were buried with treasure to help them in the afterlife. The second country I would like to visit on the continent of Africa would be Kenya because of its unique wildlife. I would like to take an African safari through one of Kenya’s wildlife locations. After the safari I would like to learn about some of the animals and plants I saw.

ReplyDeleteI would like to go to Japan because my Aunt and Uncle live there. My Aunt Rumi is Japaneses so i would like to learn some of the Japaneses language from her. From pictures my Aunt and Uncle have showed me Japan has a beautiful landscape. I also want to taste the noodles there.

I would like to visit China. A friend of mine from dance has an exchange student from China that lives with her. I would like to visit her in her country. I would like to taste the food they eat there because I order Chinese for dinner sometimes. It would be interesting to see what kind of clothes they wear. I would like to see what kind of churches they have. I think it would be fun to travel to China.
ReplyDeleteI would choose Australia because the wild life and the geography there are very interesting. One of my favorite animal happens to be the kangaroo and I think it would be really cool to see one hopping around in it's natural habitat. Also I've always found the Great Barrier Reef really neat and it's always been a dream of mine to scuba dive there.

ReplyDeleteIf i could travel to any country, I would like to visit Paris, France in Europe. While in Paris I would like to visit the Eiffel Tower and eat Parisian foods. I would also like to visit the continent of Africa and go on a animal safari. I would also like to hike to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Mt. Kilimanjaro is over 19,000 feet high and it would take me about 6 days to reach the top.

ReplyDeleteI would like to go to Europe because my grand mom, Oma, grew up in Germany, and some of my relatives live there. I'd also like to go because my Oma took my older cousin, Nicole. So, she told me that I would be able to go one day to see great places and to get to know my German relatives.
