I chose Great Britan and Viet Nam for my project. I chose Great Britan because I want to go there when I get older. I also want to learn about their education to see if they are similar to ours. I chose Viet Nam because we haven't learned a lot about them. There were other countries we didn't learn about but I chose this one.
For my Social Studies performance assessment I chose the two countries of South Africa and China. I chose these two countries to compare and contrast because they both have different ways of running their economies. South Africa is a republic economy that gives there citizens the rights that they deserve. But China is a communist government that is powered by one leader that tells China’s people what to do. They also do not have the rights that we Americans have. I think that this is a big thing to look at and contrast. They are also alike in many ways too. The economies of South Africa and China have skyrocketed in the past couple of years, and have become world leaders in trade also. During this economic boom they have had better ob opportunities for the citizens of their countries. They also have a high population growth over the past years.
I chose to do Afghanistan and Greece. Along with the lifestyles and religions. I chose to do these countries because they are interesting. I find that Greece is a cool country to learn about. I would also like to find more out about Afghanistan because they have many wars and I would like to know why. I also chose these two countries because they are very different.

Also one day I would like to visit or live in New Zealand. This project is giving me a look in the life in some New Zealanders.

Also China's economy is growing rapidly, lots of things are made in China, and there way of living is very different. I chose Italy because it was very different from China; they have more freedom than China. There economy wasn’t very poor and recently changed it has been a stable economy. I have always loved Italy so I thought it was a good idea to do Italy and china because they are so different.
The two countries I have chosen to write about are the Republic of Ireland and China. I have chosen these two countries because I think they are very different and like. I chosen the Republic of Ireland because I thought it was every interesting to about. I have chosen China because they so many different going on there so I was thinking there will be a lot of information on it. This is what my project will be about.

The two countries I picked where Italy (from Europe) and Taiwan ( from Asia). I picked these two countries because I thought they both where going to have a lot of differences because they were in two different continents. Also I picked these two because I also liked them and wanted to know more about them. I also thought these where two good countries to use compare and contrast on because they both have some things in common and have a lot of things different from each other.

For my perforance assessment, I chose to do Madagascar and Russia. I chose to do these countries because I thought that they will have many differences in their government and religions. I think that these two countries will have many difference in their governents and religions because they are on two different continents, and in two different hemispheres.
The countries I chose were Cape Verde and China. The reason I chose China is because we just leared about it in social studies. I also chose cape Verde because I did my africa project on it. I find China and Cape Verde very interesting, and will hope to enjoy doing the performance assessment on them.
The countries that I chose were Poland and Botswana. I chose Poland because I am Polish and i have been to Poland. Then the other country Botswana I chose it because I did this country for one of my social studies project.

I wanted to know more about China, and having this project has given me a great opportunity to do so. The second country that I chose was Angola because early in the year I did a project on Angola. Doing that project made me want to learn more about it. I think that I will know so much when I am finished this project. I am so happy that we got this project; I think that I will enjoy it.

After much thinking and reasoning, the two countries I chose were France and Zimbabwe. I chose Zimbabwe because this is a place of my ancestry. I have also visited this country so I am familiar with some parts of it. France was my other choice because from what I've heard it sounds like it's a beautiful country and it is somewhere that I have never been but would consider visiting. My final reason is that these countries are on different continents and are complete opposites. I thought that this factor could help make my report more interesting.
The two countries I chose to compare and contrast are Cambodia and Luxembourg. I chose these two countries because these two countries are one of a kind an are completely different from one another. For example, they have completely different languages and even look different. Not to mention Luxembourg`s religion is Roman Catholic while Cambodia`s religion is Buddhism. They also grow different agricultural products. Like Luxembourg grows grapes, barely, oats, etc., while Cambodia grows rice, rubber, corn, etc. Well that`s the reason why I chose these two stupendous countries to research on. I hope you too Mrs. Scholl will enjoy this paper that I will make.

I chose Portugal because I have almost all of my family living there from both my mom and my dad's side of the family. I also chose Portugal because I already know a lot about it so it will be easier for me. I chose Japan because I thought it would be interesting to learn more about it. I don't think Japan and Portugal have too much in common so it will be interesting to compare and contrast them.I will compare and contrast their education and lifestyles/ culture. For this performance assessment I have chosen to gather the information from the countries of Pakistan and New Zealand. I have chosen the topics of thier government and lifestyles/ cultures. I have picked there topics because they seem to me that they will have alot of facts and will help me get a good grade on this project. They have similarities and differences, which is what I need to compare in my performance assessment. I have chosen the countries because they have many things in common, but also alot of things to compare as well. They are much a part but much alike in the same way. This is why I choose the countries of Pakistan and New Zealand
For the performance assessment I chose to do Sweden and Australia. I choose Sweden because I am very Swedish and am mostly it. I choose Australia because I thought nobody was doing it, it seems interesting, and it is different from Sweden.

ReplyDeleteFor this project I have chosen Sweden and Ethiopia. Sweden because my dad has been there and has told me information I can use for this assessment. Ethiopia because I already know a lot about it since it was the country I did for the powerpoint point project.
ReplyDeleteI chose to do the countries of Italy & Egypt. I chose these countries because I am interested in the country from where my family comes from (Italy). I chose Egypt because I wanted to learn more about this country even though I did this country for my Africa project. These are the countries that I am doing for this project.
ReplyDeleteFor the performance assesment I choose the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand. I choose the Republic of ireland because I am Irish and I would liken to learn about. I choose New Zealand because I didn't know any of the countries in Oceania , so I checked the countries there and there was New Zealand and I thought it would be cool to learn about there lifestyles and the religions there.

ReplyDeleteI chose England and Nigeria for my Social Studies project. I chose these two countries because I wanted to learn more about them. I also thought that they would be easy to compare and contrast and have many differences.
ReplyDeleteI chose the countries of France and Austrailia to compare and contrast. I chose them because they were interesting to learn about and they are famous for their ballets.
ReplyDeleteI chose to do the countries Egypt and Ireland. I will be comparing and contrating the countries' lifestyles and economies. I chose these two countries because they caught my attention more than any other ones.
ReplyDeleteFor my social studies performance assessment, I chose to do the countries of Portugal and Japan. I chose Portugal because I have almost all of my family living there from both my mom and my dad's side of the family. I also chose Portugal because I already know a lot about it so it will be easier for me. I chose Japan because I thought it would be interesting to learn more about it. I don't think Japan and Portugal have too much in common so it will be interesting to compare and contrast them.I will compare and contrast their education and lifestyles/ culture. I hope Mrs. Scholl likes my social studies performance assessment!! :)
ReplyDeleteFor this performance assessment I have chosen to gather the information from the countries of Pakistan and New Zealand. I have chosen the topics of thier government and lifestyles/ cultures. I have picked there topics because they seem to me that they will have alot of facts and will help me get a good grade on this project. They have similarities and differences, which is what I need to compare in my performance assessment. I have chosen the countries because they have many things in common, but also alot of things to compare as well. They are much a part but much alike in the same way. This is why I choose the countries of Pakistan and New Zealand
ReplyDeleteFor the performance assessment I chose to do Sweden and Australia. I choose Sweden because I am very Swedish and am mostly it. I choose Australia because I thought nobody was doing it, it seems interesting, and it is different from Sweden.

ReplyDeleteI chose Mongolia and Czech Republic as my countries for this assessment. I assumed that this would be a huge challenge because these countries are little known and aren't very easy to compare on account of their little information. Both of these countries were interesting when we studied them in class. I figured that since I didn't know much about their governments and economies, I would choose these topics. I feel that this will be an interesting project and a fun report.
ReplyDeleteI chose to do Ireland, and Egypt. I chose to do these countries because I thought these countries were, cool, exciting, and very fun to do. I've started to do my research, and I havent found much in common. I chose Ireland because my family is Irish. I chose Egypt, because when we learned with Mrs. Scholl about Egypt, it was so cool and exciting!!

For my social studies performance assessment, I chose to do Italy and Botswana. I am comparing their government and lifestyles. i chose these countries because I am Italian and I would like to learn more about Italy and i chose Botswana because I want to learn more about that country!

I picked Italy because I always wanted to go there and im part Italian, when we learned about Italy in class it was very interesting.Also I picked France because to me it seems to be a very interting place and with beautiful scenery.
